I Feel That Our Flaws Are Part of What Makes Us Beautiful

    I am my biggest criticus.

Society sometimes makes it really hard to love yourself, but so do we. Whenever I see someone say, somewhere in the comment section of any kind of social media platform, 'you have really yellow teeth, that's not pretty, get them whitened', I reflect that on myself. I'll look in...

    Flaws In the Weaving

It has been noted before: In many cultures, when a work of art is created such as a tapestry or rug or other craft, often a deliberate imperfection is left in the work, either as an homage to a deity or to the idea of beauty itself, and ultimately, truth.  Deity or not...

    My Biggest Flaw

I learned, the hard way, that I am shallow.  Shallow, beyond the norm.  After steroids and other pre-term labor drugs, i ballooned to 148 pounds.  I was 98 when I became pregnant.  I was so shallow and weak about my weight that I forced our family to move to...

We human beings become more beautiful

when we embrace our flaws and try to be real. Despite all the flaws, We all have had that nagging critic inside our brains that keeps censuring us for our flaws and helps us understand more of our good intentions.

I will admit that some flaws are extremely

difficult to live with but there isnt anyone on this earth who is perfect physically or otherwise. No matter what flaw a person has i believe it helps them become who they are. If you use those flaws positively, it is indeed part of what makes us beautiful.

When I was younger I had people laugh about my

moles. Because of funny symmetry or the way they are gathered around my belly button. But you know what, I love my moles. When I was young I was always fascinated by my fathers back. He is very pale, but his back is all speckled with moles in all different shades and sizes. My...

Do you ever just look at yourself in the mirror

and notice all of your spots and scars and scratches and bruises and think that you started off as a blank slate, a basic human design in your mother's womb, and now here you are, unique and special and different. Your imperfections and marks only show off how you've been...

I left university, graduated last year,

and already I'm in my second job. Some have said I am arrogant in how I spoke about my role and my first day this morning, before I went to my second day. It isn't intentional, it's a fact of this new role for me. Jean-Marc has made it an executive position, which means I am a...

even know that was a thing? A cleft chin? No, someone informed me .. It's a BUTT chin! *insert raucous laughter* How very rude. Let's talk about *ahem* cleft chins - as they are properly known. Some of the most attractive people have them ... and I dare say ... it has...

Admitting to them too is unfortunately a

relatively rare occurrence. I find often that the such are overlooked until a good friend can constructively criticise you for it, and you then realise that there could be a problem. Nobody's perfect.

    I remember a person I loved

once told me, that they were ugly. He said his scars made him ugly. In my opinion, he was so wrong in so many ways. Yeah. I get it. He has those scars for many reasons. Mostly for fighting, either with other people, or with his own self, I know he isn't proud of the scars, they...

It's pretty hard to learn to love yourself with

all your flaws, but if you look at things differently like everybody has flaws and this makes them beautiful therefore my flaws must make me look pretty too. Tell yourself you're perfect and love every inch of you because if you dont then who else will?! :)

Don't be ashamed of anything people. I don't consider them flaws but maybe things that we could improve on.

We are as wonderful slabs of marble awaiting

the hand of the great sculpter who can bring our beauty to life for all to see. These flaws in marble, the varied viens of colour and texture are what make each piece unique and when looked at individually these flaws often upset or repluse us, but when seen as a whole and...

Human flaws are based on lack of experience

and inability to remember. When we are babies we have memories of our previous lives clear to us, but being babies we are unable to recount them to others, if write them down. This is why babies dream and have nightmares, otherwise what can possibly trouble the minds of little...

    A Flawless Mask

Perfection both externally and internally is a mask - it is a very hard act to keep up and is something that can never exist naturally.  It demands current upkeep, attention and demands that we depart from certain things that are vital to our own sense of happiness, peace...

They are. No one can be perfect,

so we should just embrace our flaws and accept them. Flaws are what makes us, us. Without them we'd be no different from each other. Accept your flaws, you're unique and beautiful. <3

    Humans Behave Badly

Without remorse. Quite deliberately. A series of totally unconnected events and conversations led to these thoughts, and I won't bore you with them, but the coincidence of these regular cropper-uppers leads me to Having A Lot To Say, as I sometimes do. People are naughty. We...

Flaws are what set us apart from the rest.

Everyone has them just not everyone will admit to them. I am forgetful, a worrier, anxious, too trusting, coffee addicted and I cry in relation to every emotion (happy, sad , frustrated etc).

Each one of us has a flaw of some kind.

Our attitude towards it figures in how we are seen and relate to others. Self consciousness can be a torture.

It took years for me to realize my beauty.

I was always the not so pretty sister. My older sister was always getting complimented for how "light" she was. Guys tended to like her more. I remember at 11 years old a guy that liked my sister told me that I was the ugly sister and that I got the "ugly gene". I was sad but I...
