I Find Peace In Nature

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 2,786 People

After an hour of snow blowing I should be

completely exhausted but I'm not! Minus the roaring hum of my mammoth snow blower it was so peaceful to be outside. The good news is, there is another 6 + inches coming and the wind is screaming at a good pace, so I will get to return to the peaceful outdoors soon enough...

It's just one of those things you need to

experience to actually understand. You get frustrated with everything that's going on, so you go on a walk, and you find a park or a forest. You then climb a tree, and see the wonder beyond the world below. Ahh. The fresh air that the trees give off. The sounds of non-human life...

I respect nature. A lot of people do not view

plants as living creatures. The general Idea is that a plant is a plant it is the equivalent of a rock; It doesn't do anything but sit there. The existence of a plant irks a miraculous wide of life. I can understand how people tend to forget that grass, flowers, fungi, fruits...

    I think it's a more complete peace.

Indoors, I can feel peaceful in an old library or a candlelit room. It's a cozy and comforting peace. Outdoors, it's a peace that walks hand in hand with freedom and connection. Exhilarating and soothing all at once. Alive. Me.
