I Form Tonsilloliths - Forum & Chat Board | Cool - I've always wondered what these were!

For me, they form on the outside of the tonsil and I can sometimes dislodge them by kind of a rubbing action of the back of my throat. If that doesn't do it, I scrape them off with the edge of a spoon. I've never had a problem with gagging when touching the tonsils, only on the back of the throat. If the tonsils are swollen I can usually press on them with the spoon and squeeze out more lumps of the stuff. I've never noticed them being particularly associated with bad breath. I hadn't noticed it, but I haven't had them for a couple years. It's been about the same period that I have been eating less sugar and simple carbohydrates than I used to, and for about the same period I have also been drinking non-pasteurized milk, eating more cultured dairy, eating mostly grass-fed meat, and consuming more animal fats.

 

I've found that no matter how much I change my diet, use mouthwash etc... they always come back!
