    I Have A Dream...

“I have a dream, that my children with one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” Do you all remember that speech? That speech that changed a nation with the beauty and sorrowful truth behind its...

I am not ready to do the right thing

Minnesota has become the 12th state to legalize gay marriage. Check out this cool picture of the celebratory decorations on the I-35W bridge. Unfortunately, I am still a closet gay marriage supporter. When I see my friends reposting this on Facebook, I am overjoyed. But I could...

    It Is What It Is

I was brought up in a very open enviroment.  I have always been what my friends call a fruit fly.  I managed a gay bar, opened a gay friendly bookstore/cofee house and supportthe local arts in various ways.  My friends are diverse G - L - b-T 's as well...

    New York

God Bless New York State. You can be gay, pay taxes, go to school, go to church, raise a family, go to work and now get married.

Slavery, Segregation and the Hatred of Gays

Excerpts of text by Austin Kline: Both Slavery on Segregation were based upon religious beliefs. Rick Dungan offers the arguement: It was incompatible with religious liberty to treat blacks like human beings or equal citizens. Ultimately, people who believed in this lost the...

    One Day

I hope that I'm still alive when the day comes. The day when hatred stops and love begins. When a person can openly love, marry, live with someone of the same sex or even different nationalities and not be looked upon in a negative light. We shouldn't care if two consenting...

What Is the Real Issue Here?

Gays and lesbians - for the most part - are tax paying, registered voters, hard working, law abiding citizens. To me,  the problems of gay equality in a married sense is a fear issue that oppossers have. What are oppossers afraid of? The only cases against Gay equality I...

    Old Hat For Me

I was young when my state legalized gay marriage. I grew up accepting it like anything else, I knew gay and lesbian couples. In my naivety I was unaware of other states policies and I was shocked that so many people oppose it. Seems pretty intuitive to me. They love each other...

I Believe Gay Marriage Will Become A Reality.

There are too many younger people who have uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters, even parents who are gay. I have to agree with things I've read about when people know someone that is gay then it's not such a mystery that gays & lesbians would want and DESERVE to get married. Gay...

    Its About Love

Love is love, and people in love should be allowed to get married. This "preserve traditional marriage" thing is bullshit. The good news is that people are realizing this, and one day our Represenatives in Government will realize that denying the right to be married to...

It's Only a Matter of Time

The vast mojority of younger folks don't even see why this is an issue.  At worst these old Bible worshiping fanatics will just die off and as more states adopt it the federal government will have to except it or the states can threaten to call a constitutional...

    I Think It Is Sad....

...That gay marriages is not already a reality.  I don't see the big deal at all.  So what if someone is gay and want to marry someone of the same sex.  What's it to anyone else?  It shouldn't be anyone else's business.  I cannot wait, and I wish I...

You Have to Want What Is Best For Your Child.

I have eight grown daughters. One is a lesbian. As a mothrt, you have to want what is best for your kids, It is her choice to be gay. It is her choice with who she wants to spend her life with. I am certainly not going to hold her back. Society shouldn't either.
