    Deja Vu.

I have been getting déjà vu a lot lately, especially since the man of my life recently got sent to rehab. I keep having flashbacks, in my sleep, when I zone out.. Not just of him, but everything, mostly the bad things that happened. It's kind of scary. And, occasionally...

Mostly When Uncomfortable In New Situations

I think it is how my brain makes me feel less anxiety.  I think if I am in a situation I really don't want to be in, my brain tries to make me feel more comfortable, by making myself feel familiar with an unfamiliar situation.  Like in boot camp, it seemed like I had it...

    Oh, the Brain

I read an article at Discover Magazine's website that quotes a study as saying the average twenty-something feels deja vu 3 times per year. Are they kidding me? I really wasn't aware that frequent deja vu was so rare. As a matter of fact, the rest of the article was pretty...

Aah, That Ol' De Ja Vu

Yeah, it happens to me alot, always has. Since I get premonitions and often have prophetic dreams, it seems like I would get de ja vu anyway. Those little bits and pieces that I vaguely remember that may not have been as important as the purpose for the vision itself. Usually...

    Past Life

I don't practice Hinduism, but sometimes I get this crazy idea when I experience de ja vu. Sometimes I think that perhaps we live in a series of parallel lives and once we die we are reborn as new people. However, God wipes out our memory so we know only of our current life...

It almost seems to me, that if I had been really paying attention to the thoughts that run through my mind (especially when I'm daydreaming), that I might have seen some moments in time coming.  The only thing is that it feels like I got a glimps of them so long ago.  When I...

Usually when I get deja vu, I also get deja vu of having deja vu. And then I have deja vu of having deja vu of having deja vu. And it keeps going until I completely stop what I'm doing and take a breath and move on. It's really pretty frustrating. And I may be slightly crazy.

    Here's a food for thought.

They say when you die, you have 7 minutes of brain activity left. In those 7 minutes you replay your entire life, but time is stretched. What's saying that déjà vu is not that? What if we aren't actually here anymore?
