Took it 12 years. Am so glad I don't use it anymore. Once in awhile I have a Prozac day and take one. It has an immediate effect on me - it helps me not cry.

Who knows why any of us need meds…we can hypothesize several different reasons such as heredity (depression and a couple of suicides in the family)…chemical imbalance, childhood molestation, verbal/emotional abuse from childhood...
