    It Has Advantages & Disadvantages.

I grew up in a small city off the coast of Massachusetts. It's actually an island. Growing up here was tough because your business was everyone else's business. It was almost considered a rite of passage to have a rumor spread about you. I went through elementary & middle...

A Story of a Mixed Family Tree

I was born and raised in a tiny town in Ohio. Actually, the town wasn't incorporated, so it was more of a hollow than a town. All of my relatives still lived within the city limits - all of their lives. My Grandfather died before I was born, so our family was really...

I Grew Up In a Small Town

For 8 years I lived in a little town called the Beaver Bank Villa. There were only about 30 people. :3 I loved how small and quiet it was. There was a big forest so that meant lots of places for me and my friends to explore. There were paths every where. Plus, we lived by a radar...

The Town I Grew Up In.

I grew up in a welsh town called 'Bargoed', a former mining town in the south wales valleys and is in the county borough of caerphilly, a nearby town in which i was born. The town of Bargoed has quite a history and was originally a market town that grew into a substantial town...

    Rural Education Not Withstanding

I was actually born in Ohio but lived most of my youth in Kentucky. I had four sisters. My earliest memories are of a house in a small town subdivision. I think I was happy then. I woke up early one morning on a mission. I wanted to go get one of our dogs some dog food. I took a...

    To Leave the Little Town

I grew up in a little village in Austria, everyone was friendly and people knew each other, community groups were built life was rather easy, but it was never enough for me, it felt quite confined, knowing that what ever you do what ever you say everyone knows about it and jugdes...

    'Hey' Seed

I was born in a small town in New Brunswick. Well, a small town by comparison to Toronto or Montreal. And I may not qualify for having 'grown up' there, because we had to move to the big city when the Textile Mill closed and left half the population unemployed. I remember the...

    I Hate Small Towns

I grew up in a small town near Rochester, NY.  I hated growing up in a small town for all the usual reasons.  It's not fun when everyone knows you, who all your ex-boyfriends are, where you live, and when you took a **** that day. I could honestly tell you one secret...

    Too Much a Bubble..

I loved growing up in a small town. But as I got older it was great to get away. Too much like living in a bubble where I came from. Let's say Portage, PA

Grew up in a very small town on a farm.

We had cows, horses, chickens, goats, and I while I hated it growing up as a young boy, looking back now I'm thankful for the values that were instilled in my; hard work, the value of a $$$, and importance of family. "Things may change along the way, but at the beginning and...

    Vernonia, Or

I grew up in a small town called Vernonia in northwestern Oregon until I was 14.  It was the most beautiful place I've ever lived, and I've lived in some pretty places.  Didn't make my best friends there, though.  Limited selection, I guess.  A lot of peer...

It sucks. I live just outside of the city.

Everyone knows each other here. The town is like 80% Arab. I feel like I live in the Middle East. I just wish I could escape this town. Everyone is too much of the same. I want to go somewhere far away from here and never look back at the horrible things I've seen.

    I was born in Arlington,

but before I was 5, my parents moved us to a small town in Arkansas called Cecil. It wasn't arbitrary though, as we had family there already. I think it has about 100 people. It's where I lived until college. Nice and quiet. :)

    It Wasn't For Me

I ran away from home all the time. I lived in the country and we were poor, that might not have been so bad but my dad would only let me go and do stuff half the time. The other half he was just pissed off or hungover and taking it out on his kids. Now he is dying in a nursing...
