So here is one of my two bonsai's.

.. The one pictured is a Japanese Juniper, and it's meant to be kept outdoors. I didn't know this when I bought it, but I still wanted to keep it. I also got an indoor one, but it's a different type, with broader and thicker leaves. It's also an indoor kind, so that I can...

I am still pretty new at it,

but I've grown things in the past, and I was pretty proficient at it. I mostly have experience growing pot - but it's like many other plants. I decided I liked gardening when I learned about growing pot for the first time. I began growing spicy peppers (habanero, jalapeno...

    More Accurately

I have one in my kitchen window and water it once every other day It is bent over to the right hand side I was brought up in a house that had a tree lined lane leading up to it, I was taught by my parent's gardeners all about trees and he would buy me ladybird books on...

    I think responsibility

and commitment correlate together. Taking care of and managing a small bonsai tree take a lot of work and patience, if you want to exaggerate watering & trimming. I have two bonsai trees I take care of.

    Mugo Pine

I just finished potting a new mugo pine bonsia. Interesting branch structure but very challenging to style. There was no definitive leader, so I had to wire a branch upright to create one. I hope it holds.

Someone Please Help My Juniper Bonsai

While visiting my sister in Kentucky, she had a beautiful 10+ year old juniper bonsai that she left on her back porch for about 1-2 weeks while on vacation.  The poor thing got direct sunlight, and it's needles are all fried brown.  I kidnapped it and brought it back to...

I started out growing bonsai trees, then went to miniaturizing cows and animals.  Finally I had an entire miniature city and surrounding countryside in my four hundred gallon fish acquarium.   One day as I was looking I noticed that there were little people in...

    I Think I Propagated

I swear I think I propagated and I am quite full of myself as a result. I feel like I had a hand in creating something. I took a cutting of my Bonsai and put it in a hotel sized empty bottle of Johnny Walker Red, and put it on my kitchen window sill. It amused me...

If I had a lot of money I'd buy a very old zelkova bonsai, but I don't so I'm happy cultivating my own. I have a beautiful bonsai that I created probably ten years ago using an umbrella tree that was already 15 years old and had a great exposed root system. It was about 5 feet...

    I Love Bonsai

I love bonsai, always have. I've been growing bonsai for almost 30 yrs. Many of my 100 or so trees are collectors items. I'm very happy to answer questions for my friends on EP. Let's have some good times with bonsai.
