Twice About to Make My Third

I had two MRI's before.  One was of my head when I was little.  One was about a year ago of my lower back.  Tomorrow I am getting an MR angiography of my abdomen for fun because we are getting a new scanner and they need volunteers.  Of course I will be a...

    Hold Still?

My MRI wasn't all too bad, until the last fifteen minutes. The doctor told me she had to inject pigment into my blood. NOBODY had told me about this, so I could have time to prepare myself for it. Shots scare the crap out of me. I'm always afraid they'll miss and hit a bone or I...

I had 4 MRIs for my brain,

because I was getting these painful headaches in one spot on the right side of my head every day for 2 years. they all turned out negative. I never knew what caused those headaches. They eventually went away, thankfully.

    One A Few Years Ago

I was worried on the lead up to having the MRI.  I'd heard the stories/warnings about how people sometimes feel really claustrophobic and freak out when they are put inside the machine.  I wondered if I would be one of those that freak out.   I've never been a fan of enclosed...

    2 Hours

I once spent 2 hours in an MRI machine. They thought I had stroked and did every test in the book and re did some. What a nightmare.

    Years Ago

When I was in middle school, I used to get these horrible headaches, so I got one MRI done. Then when the nerologist guy looked at them he though I might have a brain tumor. Not jut a brain tumor, a tumor in an inopperable part of my brain. That was nice to hear when I'm only 13...

    Last Night

Another wonderful test from last night was an MRI. I had to be there at 7pm but they were behind so I didn't finish until 9:45. GGRR!! Oh and the reason they were behind was that one of the machines "over heated"... that's like saying hey the plane doesn't have enough...

    Buried Alive!

I am claustrophobic! So, when I had to do an MRI, it was my worse nightmare! The last time was a few years ago. I thought I could handle it. The doctors put this cage-like mask over my face, to keep my head from moving, and the machine sucked me in! I felt like I was in...
