    Contrary to the Doctor's Beliefs...

I had my operation for pyloric stenosis when I was only three weeks old.   I still don't know an aweful lot about it.  I know a fair bit about the condition itself, but my parents have never really shared the story about what it was like for them.  What they did...

My grandson had surgery on Monday for this condition.  Two small scars and one small scar at belly button. Went to hospital very sick and is now gaining weight and not crying in pain nearly so much.  Poor baby.  He is only five weeks old and I am so grateful for the internet...

    Saved by an accident

A simple surgical technique that was discovered by an accident only a few decades earlier saved my life back in 1945. Before 1912, babies who started to projectile vomit would most likely die from malnutrition and dehydration. Yuck at any time, terrible for new (often first...

I Am A Girl And I Had Pyloric Stenosis

Apparantly its rarer for a girl to have it. I can't believe there is a group for this :) I've seen some pictures of some verticle scars that are really quite large. Mine is small and horizontal. It is easily covered. Before I hit puberty, I was skinnier and my scar was just a...
