I Had Surgery

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 1,110 People

    I went for another checkup.

Good news. I get to keep my vagina. The bad news is it will be in a jar on my desk. Actually, the Bartholin excision is almost completely healed. This Labiaplasty is gonna take a lifetime to heal. All the meds that take away my pain make me woozy and sleepy. But, I can't work...

    Ankle Reconstruction

I'm 5 weeks post OP today. I had reconstruction on my ankle. I'm so sick of crutches and not being able to put any weight on my right foot but hopefully in a few months I'll be okay. I liked going under, it's like sinking into a mountain of soft pillows and go into blissful sleep...

    Call Me Grace

Yesterday I had my foot surgery.  I had to wait a while beyond my scheduled surgery time, so it got pretty boring.  My anesthesiologist was bored waiting, too, so we got to talking.  He’s a New Jersey guy who somehow landed here in the Midwest.  It turns...

    1. Eye surgery when I was 5 to fix my lazy eye. I hated that surgery because afterwards I had to wear an eyepatch. I was very self-conscious about it. Now I think I was dumb for thinking so. 2. Surgery to remove and extra bone out of my foot. That's an interesting story. 3. I...

I didn't have gall stones, the exact term the stenographer used was, Boulders. I almost died choking on my own bile because i kept trying to out last the pain in my side. If one stone gets stuck in your bile duct, you can drown in your own stomach fluid. Gross eh?
