I Had To Write The Same Sentence Over And Over As Punishment

    Spanking And Lines

Once, I was sent to my aunt in the summer holidays. She was very strict, and told me a lot of rules to follow, like when I have to be home. I normally had to be home at 8 p.m.; if I wanted to stay out later, I would have to ask my Aunt Kerstin. But once I forgot, since it was...

    2500 Lines

I once had a terrible experience in school. I did not do my homework several time, and my English teacher, a strict young teacher, told me that I will write lines for that. She had given me the line: I must learn to do my homework at the required time to be written 1000 times...

Many times. It's a time consuming tedious

punishment that I hate with a passion. Writing Lines is at best effective in driving the point home that while spankings hurt, time outs suck, writing lines is as painful as it horrible. If you don't

    Lines And Weekend Detentions

There are times when a spanking or caning are just not enough. For those occaisions a useful alternative, or, indeed supplement, is a detention: not one that lasts for an hour or two but for a whole weekend. When administered properly, with attention paid to the small details, it...

    Horrible Memories!

I never got lines at school so far as I remember but my parents used to dish them out regularly to me, my elder brother and kid sister. I wasn't unusual for the three of us to be sitting together at the dining table writing endless reams of pointless sentences. Not 100 X a short...

This was never an effective method in grade

school. They would "punish" all of is for the wrong doing of a select few. But as kids not having to so the school work was great. So having us write sentences was almost a good thing because it would get in the way of teaching. I don't understand why they couldn't just punch...

    I Will Not Say Stupid.

My school was small and didn't have a lot of rules. However two big rules was no saying shut up or calling each other stupid. Everytime you said it the number of lines went up by 100. It took me having to write both 300 times each to stop.

    In Second Grade For Cursing

At lunch in 2nd grade, everyone thought it was amazing that I swore. They asked me to say a bunch of swear words, and they would gasp when I said it. When we got back from lunch once, this girl told the teacher that I was saying bad words. The teacher took me out in the hallway...

Please never, ever do this to a kid.

When I was in year 7 (UK, age 11) I got excluded from school for "fighting" (actually just defending myself against a bully who went of crying to Miss when I hit him back. I'm not a fighter but I had only been at the school a few months so they didn't know me too well.) My mum...

    I still remember it even

though more than 20 years ago. Sitting on the rattan stool with my sore bottom in the living room writing for hours and silently crying and regretting that I disappointed my parents so much. It was hard but it tought me my lesson. My daughters have been in the same position.

I once had to copy a phone book

for a weekend, as a child. I had to write the number in blue and the name in red, I did that for 6 hours a day for two days, while having a sore bottom. I think it really teaches children, but it is quite extreme. In my case, I failed a class, so I think I deserved it
