I Hate Bad Grammar

There? Their? They're? - get it right, dammit! 14,615 People

I myself will put this on the table

before I set it. Now I can't say I am someone to be the pest with 'spelling, pronouncing and even using words correctly'. I make mistakes with grammar but that's not Intentional. I feel like writing this just to get it across and maybe help people understand something. Now...

    Of all of the things

that get on my nerves this is by far the worst. Specifically the use of there, their and they're. I hope that one day there will be a law to prevent the free use of incorrect spelling and poor word order. Oh how nice it would be.

I judge people on their grammar.

I know it's bad, but I just can't help myself. If I get a message without punctuation or decent spelling I refuse to answer it, I mean, how are you supposed to hold a conversation with that person? I don't like to think of myself as a grammar nazi, I'm more of a grammar snob.

I can't stand it when people say,

"John and I..." in every instance. Ex. 1 - John and I fell into a ditch. Ex. 2 - That's what happened to John and I. WRONG. One ought to say, "That's what happened to John and me." There is a time to say, "... and I," and there is a time to say, "... and me." People are in...

    I'm strict with grammar.

People continually repeat this error. 'Homophones' is what people muck up with. 'Your' instead of 'you're.' 'There' instead of 'they're' and worst of all... Some people use question marks when it's clearly notified as no question. It really annoys me.
