Hate It Hate It Hate It

I don't know if I hate it because I'm lousy at it, or if I'm lousy at it because I hate it. Either way, cooking does not come natural to me. I can mess up even the simplest of recipes. I have blamed my oven, the shape of my kitchen, and even the time of day for my cooking...

    Too Much Time

Cooking is only fun to me when I am hosting a party.  Otherwise, supper is the most time consuming chore!!  The preperation, shopping and the clean up.  I only have to cook for two and do not know how to make many things from scratch.  Maybe if I knew how to...

that I am getting a divorce I haven't cooked in weeks, it's awesome! I just go to Wholefoods and buy everything already cooked.

Every single time I try to cook,

I manage to burn myself, even when I'm just toasting bread or warming up something. I deeply hate cooking for life!!!

    ...for Others

Actually, when I didn't have to worry about others' tastes and QUIRKS I enjoyed buying healthy food and cooking it up... in a frying pan with oil. I find cooking to be very time consuming and my hunger is not very patient, especially right after a long day of work. (Isn't the...

    Mainly Dinner

When I hear "Dinner!" I feel like throwing myself down on the floor and beating my fists. It's one of my most hated words in English. Ever since I was a little kid, I've watched my mum make dinner with such anger, hate, exasperation and exhaustion...

Eat to Live Not Live to Cook

The whole process of going to the store, unloading all the groceries, putting them away, trying to cook something while my kids are fighting and then having the food taste horrible is not worth the effort. Did I not mention the cleaning of the kitchen and dishes afterwards? So...

    It's Not That I Can't Cook

I just really don't like to for the most part. Thank goodness I married a man who loves to cook otherwise my family would probably stave, LOL. I know how to cook...mostly Mexican food because that's what I grew up eating & helping my mom with. I usually prefer to drink my...

    No 2nd Shift For Me

I hate cooking for two reasons: (1) I'm really bad at it and (2) It's a lot of g0dd@mn work. I work a hard physical job and when I come home the last thing I want to do is spend a Second Shift slaving over a hot stove and cleaning up all that $hite. PLUS...I am just not good at...

    I Dont See the Point

I live alone. Why cook? I hate it. First there's the shopping aspect - I never have what I need in the kitchen and if I buy say chicken, I need one portion, the rest I must freeze. But what about veggies and fruit? I throw so much away its scary. Such a waste. Then there's...

Ach I joined this when I was in a bad mood and fed up with the daily routine of cooking for a family. But really I enjoy it and love creating something tasty and wholesome for my appreciative audience. I've always been good at it too so now I'm off to make a good old fashioned...

    I don't hate it but i don't like it.

I know how to cook some things. I want to find a husband who rather cook and I clean. I don't think they are made that way anymore.

    Meat Looks Gross

Raw meat just looks disgusting. I don't mind the blood so much, but the flesh is just retching. Especially when there's slimy fat all over it. Eating meat is disgusting when I think about what it looked like before it was cooked. I also hate the thought of mixing foods as...

    I Hate Cooking Because...

I hate cooking. I know that's not "normal" for a woman, but there it is. I'm not very bad at it, I can make a few things pretty well. But the whole process of figuring out what to make, and what goes with what, and what seasonings go with which foods boggles my mind! I have...

    I Hate Cooking

Why is a womens day never finished until after the dishes are done in the evening?  I hate cooking, I hate the clean up, I hate the fact that I never seem to be appreciated for all the cooking I do.  It is just expected of me all the time. Never mind all the time but on...

It Is A Waste Of Time For Me

Out With The Old, In With The New

"It's simple: cooking takes work, work takes effort, effort takes time, time makes me lazy. Therefore I hate cooking" - Anon I absolutely despise cooking. I love food and eating, I just don't want to be the one that cooks it, not if I can help it. I'm not a bad cook, I'm pretty...

I had a craving for bacon,

egg, and cheese sandwich. Finally get the ingredients and what do I do? Burn the toast, overcook the eggs, and then to make things worse? I made the bacon in the microwave like I usually do, but this time the paper got totally glued onto the bacon. Damn you cooking!

    Just because I'm a girl,

please don't think I love to cook or should automatically know how. There are certain things I can and will make, and cooking isn't that hard, but it's just the process of it all.
