    I think, especially in Western society, people feel the need to assimilate. Yes, there's tolerance of other cultures, but it usually has a limit (which, in my opinion isn't *real* tolerance but that's another conversation altogether)...and, once that limit has been exceeded...

    My Sad Feelings Don't Mean Anything If It Won't Bring Them Back

    Day by day more is lost by intention, by accident, or occasionally for necessity.  But of all those reasons the only reason to lose culture is by necessity.  We will have to move forward eventually but why server our roots so brutally?
