    (from Wonkette.com)Here’s another reason

why so many Americans love those who are dedicated to protecting and serving their community. Last December, Marine Corps Corporal Curtis Shannon got himself a good beating for his refusal to roll down his car window all the way when confronted by an increasingly angry, out-of...

We are many! We are one!

Not "a group of people, and then there is the other people". We are all the same, we are humans.

    I hate bigotry so much

that a difference in opinion about women's or lgbt rights or something that sounds racist to me could end a friend ship. Sometimes I wonder if I'm doing the right thing or if by not tolerating their opinion, I'm the one who's the real bigot.

    Prejudice + Power = Injustice

Prejudice and Power are a very scary mixture. When they are mixed the result is invariable injustice. My partner and I are very much in love. We make each other very happy. We support and care for each other. We got together when I reached out to help a depressed person like...

It really does surprise me how many people out

right deny a statement before taking the time to understand it or the person that made it. "Rape is a skill" for example now obviously rape is a vile things the statement sounds stupid, wrong and ignorant. But by just out right demanding that also makes you sound stupid, wrong...

    I'm 16 and my family

and school teachers all say I've got an old head on young shoulders :) I don't think that I am just open minded and believe in fairness for all and that no person should suffer injustice because of the teachings of previous generations :) I have a couple of friends on EP that...

My Heart Breaks For Trayvon Martin And His Family

I know others in this group have recently written about this story. It is outrageous that nothing has been done to the man who shot Trayvon Martin. He was unarmed walking in a gated community and because the neighborhood watchman, George Zimmerman, felt he was acting suspicious...

There are many different ways for there to be injustice, and bigotry, normally people think of it in just racial terms, but it happens to other people too.  It happens to the mentally disabled all the time, people are very narrow-minded and intolerant of people who have...

    Which Is Why:

I speak to others with sensitivity, and am careful in the words I choose. There may be personal life choices that I do not agree with or find healthy, but I will never call anyone a curse word or imply that their lives do not have value as all living beings have value and should...

I worked in a prison for a bit and it was the most horrible experience! I saw people, guards, and staff members laughing at inmates, beating inmates and treating others like trash, simply because they could.  I saw some horrific things and cannot understand how any...

This Kind Of Ignorance Just Burns Me Up~

Lately on EP my friends and I have fallen victim to small minds, warped senses of reality and the brand of vintage intolerance, hatred and total ignorance that gets people hurt and killed and has for centuries. This is to be expected because the "old path" that we have chosen...

I Am Not Gay-But If I Were, What's It To Ya?!

We've all heard the rhetoric. The bottom line is, it's none of your damned business if I am or not. Gay people are NOT out to turn the world GAY, they just want to live in harmony with everyone else. How would YOU like it, if the MAJORITY of people WERE gay, and we had laws in...

    Injustice is truly awful.

One part of our history is the fact that we repealed the death sentence. How many innocents were killed by the state??? And injustice is everywhere!!!!

If you think racism is dead take a diversity

(from Wonkette.com) It has not been a banner

year for our armed public servants from the City of New York. When we last left them, they were executing a two-pronged strategy to protest Mayor Bill de Blasio’s alleged anti-cop rhetoric, first hijacking the funeral of two murdered cops, then refusing to do their jobs. What...
