I have a 4yo son with a rare generic disorder,

he has very delicate skin and gets blisters and inevitably scabs. people give us dirty looks, and ask HIM how he got hurt, how he got those boo-boos and if someone had hurt him, without even acknowledging us his parents. when we try to explain to them what it is, they always...

I got into a fight with this one girl

because she thought it would be funny to humiliate and call this little kid names all because he was in a wheelchair and "couldn't do anything about it". -___-

This is something that I can not tolerate.

My best friend was pregnant a few years ago. she found it her son had trisomy 13. This can cause retardation. It was always known the possibility of him living more than a few hours was extremely low. Every time I see people make fun of them, it makes me think of Levi. He died...

    You're literally the Devils spawn

if you laugh at a struggling child. They go through hell, but they still get up and smile and do what they have to do to get through the day. It's sickening. It makes me want to vomit over humanity, because slowly kindness and manners seem to be slipping away.

i hate that too. people just like to make fun

of whats different. its not right and shows their stupidity. they are a gift. they are people just because something causes them to behave different or look different doesnt make them less human.

I was at the mall a few years ago.

There was a kid hobbling around with crutches. Some older nutwads were laughing and were like "hey look at the little cripple!" The kid with the crutches turned in them and said " hey! Wanna piece of me?" The nutwads had nothing to say. The kid went on his own way.

I don't like it when people label those with

disabilities as "disabled". No. They are not "disabled", they "have a disability". Because their disability is not all they are about. It's unfair to label them so. Labels are for objects, not people. And things are not going to change about how we perceive them until we change...
