they're nothing special, there are better bands.  i cant  relate to any of their songs.

That pretty much sums up The Beatles success. Music had hit a bit of a lull on the back of the domination of rock and roll in the 50's and along come four cheeky chaps from Liverpool playing, what was basically, ten-a-penny poppy love...

But there are no words for how overplayed their music has been. My entire life has been saturated with Beatles songs - it's inescapable. I can't think of anything that comes close to how often I've heard their songs. Gimme a break!

I start a group to vent about how my toes curl when I hear Another. Umpteenth. Millionth. Beatles. song. And some blithe spirit comes along and recommends a song for the group and it's - you guessed it - a Beatles song!!!
