    Twisted Words

I sure hate it when I say something and people twist and change words so that what I had said to begin with has a totally different meaning leaving me frustrated and  confused.

context and then twisting them and not even wanting to hear what I actually said or anything like wtf it's absolutely ridiculous and I'm not sure what else to say but I'm really fed up and annoyed and angry and pissed off and yeah ugh I wanna go home **** all this ****

    Mostly My Mother

No matter what I say to my mother it gets twisted around so she is the victim and the centre of the story. She has even somehow managed it when I am saying something where she has nothign to do with the story to twist it about her. It is so annoying!! I just want the odd time...

I really do.  I try to communicate effectively but then sometimes persons in my real life exasperate me with the way they twist my words to meet their agenda.  Do others have this problem?

I lived the first half of my freshman year with

this family; and the mom was purely psychotic. Every. Word. I. Said. Was twisted into some sort of 'attack', lie, or high level is disrespect. The only way to get 'your way' and survive in that home with hopes of a little of your own happiness was to lie, cheat, and stab the one...

    It Makes Me So Angry

I hate it when people twist my words. I hate it when people do it on purpose to make me look and feel bad in front of others. I hate it when people do it because they just didn't understand what I said, because often times they will get quite adamant about what they think I said...

I Hate When People Twist My Words

yep I really do, because when I talk to friends and I tell them something they twist my words to make a dumb rumor about me and it really makes me mad  because they twisted my words around just to make my life utterly miserable and that's not right.....

    Out of Shape

Sometimes people twist my words so much that when someone repeats to me what i said, i can't recognise the words.

This Is Not The Twister® That I Want To Play!

I could say the most neutral of things to someone and have them twist my words.  For example: Me: "It's sunny today. [an observation]"  Them: "What's wrong with that?  Would you rather have it cold and rainy outside?"  (Huh?  What?  Who...

first place. So there's a wedding next wknd and I guess it's also fathers day. Well I don't do father's day and the kids dad isn't here so I don't know what that has to do with whether or not they were going to the wedding on Saturday. "I forgot you don't have a father and don't...

I Hate When People Twist My Words...

I hate when people twist my words, and think I mean one thing, when I really mean what I said. I just don't get that at all. People make no sense at all. I just hate when people twist my words. If I wanted them to be twiested, I would have twisted them before I said...

    I Hate It

I hate when people twist my words. In real life, online, & especially on this site. It seems to happen quite frequently on this site, unfortunately. I try to be very clear & precise in everything I write on here so that no one will mistake any of the things that I say, but some...

You Learn To Deal With It

I'm now living with my father after a decade or more and have found he's the king at twisting words and only strictly believes what he thinks. It's nothing horrible just extremely-overbearingly irritating when it's my dad of whom I want to get to know now, now that our lives...

If something didn't come out of my mouth,

don't tell me it did. Don't twist things to make me look like a bad person. I always clarify what I say, so there should be no confusion.

There's Something Very Weak About It

I've had a few very difficult situations occur in my past due to someone twisting my words for their benefit. Two in particular. It was an ex girlfriend in both cases. They had either contacted me, or come into contact with me in person, exchanged a few messages/words, and they...

Haha, I really do.. and it reminds me of one of

my favorite quotes which is one from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia; "Don't paraphrase me, I choose my words very deliberately."

I can't stand when people twist my words around

and make them sound much worse than they are! I am uncomfortable around gay men. That doesn't mean I hate gay men! That's just an example. It's not true

    It really drives me crazy

when I say something nice to someone and they twist my words and make it look like a dig to them. Read what I wrote and understand it. Don't twist my words to make me look like I'm taking a cheap shot at you.

I Didn't Mean It THAT Way.

Obviously you sound different to others than how you think you sound. I consider my tone to be very neutral and relaxed but it's so frustrating that whenever I freaking speak, everybody and their grandmothers think that I'm being sarcastic. Lady, I just asked you for the time...

I had a girlfriend in high school,

through my whole senior year, who was a chronic word twister. I'd say something, "Oh so what you're saying is..." and then I'd say no, and change what I said, and then that would be twisted... Please make it stop, I need some Tylenol now.
