I never liked school at the best of times but when I moved to the secondary school I absolutely hated it, I'd never want to go through that again or go to a school reunion the experiences I had there scarred me for life.

    The Special Class

I was kicked out of school in the seventh grade for being unmanageably defiant and rebellious. I wasn’t allowed to attend any school within the district from that point forward so New York state decided to send me to a “special school” about thirty miles outside of my town...

I Hated School and School Hated Me

I didn't mind the lessons, but I wasn't popular with the other kids or the teachers. Not that I made any effort to fit in, but I didn't know I was supposed to. I pretty much absconded most of the time anyway.

    I never really enjoyed school

as I suffered with dyslexia and found it hard to keep up with the other kids in school and when I was in junior school I got teased alot called a dummy etc . I only had a few close friends but we did everything together and we mostly managed to keep out of trouble . I only got...

One particular memory came to mind.

I was usually the quiet person in class as I never really had a lot of friends to talk to during these times. It was English class and I was sat on a big table with 5 other girls. I didn't exactly hate them but I wasn't much interested in their conversations, so I remained...

Yes very much so. Back then I couldn't

understand why. Now I see why. It was having rules and authority figures. I've been good with that sort of thing. When I was in school, from 7th grade up until I quit school. I would miss half or more of the school year. I was getting into lots of trouble over it. They had me on...

When I was 13 years of age I was sent to the

headmaster's office with another boy. I had no idea why. The other boy went in and I was told to wait. After quite a long silence I heard a loud thwack and a scream of pain. I was terrified. There were five more like that with increasingly distressing cries from the other boy...

    I Hated School

Not because of school itself.I like learning. But I did not like how I was taught things---often in a punitive way.I could hardly even focus on learning when I was bullied and self-conscious and lonely.I left when I was 16, went to a self-paced learning center and got a high...

I still remember well, 1 IX 1980. Approching the imposing, sandstone buiding of the primary school, feeling like an innocent prisoner baggining a long sentence. Never wanted to be institutionalised in any way and as a child wanted to stay with my Parents only. Thay did tray to...

    Not My Cup of Tea...

I still hear friends and family now say, "Man I miss those days...", not me! It's not that I wasn't liked or didn't have any friends in high school, I just hated the fact that most of the kids I was forced to share classes with were absurdly fake and pompous. It was a...
