    Don'T Ask Me

Give me a map and it might as well be a handbook on major surgery because it's all double dutch too me I could easily get lost in a cardboard box. It's a gift and I am especially gifted at getting other people lost people find it unbelievable how I manage it. I really excel...

Worst directional sense ever! (I think...)

I can honestly say that I have the worst sense of direction of anyone I know, or have ever had the pleasure of meeting. If it wasn't so absolutely pathetic, it would be laughable! Although it's beyond frustrating, I do end up laughing on occasion just from the absurdity of it...

    Terrible Sense of Direction

I have the same problem, and it has caused me a great deal of misery.  I have conducted some research, but have not been able to come up with a scientific explanation.  It's a miserable situation when you can't find your way around the block!  One thing that I can...

"with Both Hands Behind My Back"

I used to was, a class one, police driver, ( long since retired,) but now the truth can be revealed, It wasn't that my colleagues and superiors, considered me, to be  a good pilot, for the Commissioner's vehicles, but rather, that they would tolerate my mediocre manouverings...

    It's Terrible ....

If someone tells me east, west, north, south - they may as well be speaking Chinese.  I have no sense of what that means.  All I know is the sun sets in the west; so please, if ever giving me directions, say left, right - it's much easier and I won't get lost ...

I can't find my way out of a paper bag.  I get lost even with navigation in my car.  How sad is that?  My friends make fun of me all the time.  Sometimes it's frustrating, but I've learned to accept the that I'm directionally challenged. It tends to make...

    Really Bad Sense of Direction

I am very embarrassed about my bad sense of direction. I get lost constantly. If I get the MapQuest directions and go to someplace, I can’t do the reversal and get back to the original starting point. I have major problem with the four cardinal points. I can't relate to...

My Dad Thinks Im Seriously Retarded

One time i went to pick up a car with my dad, like we went together to get it then came back separately. He wanted me to stop for gas at some place i had never been to/had no idea how to get to, so he gave me some vague instructions that involved getting on the interstate...

I Am Completely Lost Outside of Nyc

Outside of NYC, I could manage to get myself lost if I were tethered to a tree with a 10 foot rope.  I went to a mall in NJ once and had a panic attack when I couldn't get my bearings.   When you are raised in a city where 95% of the streets are...

So on Feb 4th I'm flying up to Seattle to visit family, get a new car, be in a wedding, watch my childhood friend have her first baby, and have another damn birthday...   So needless to say it will be one eventful week to say the least... Only one problem I have to...

    Most of the Time!

LOL! My sister says that I would get lost going around the block! It's funny though, I used to do in-home health care visits, traveling all over the place, learning new areas where I needed to visit. I was good at that then. Maybe it's just because now I've got mommy-brain and I...

    Damn You K-mart

I got lost on the way to the local K-mart once, this might not seem like anything really bad to you, and granted I only had my license for 3 weeks when I ventured out there but here comes the best part...I live 5 miles from K-mart, it's a complete straight shot--I mean I...

    You Are All So Brave!

I read all of the stories on this Board with absolute amazement!  I can see myself in almost all of them, but everyone seems to take their lack of sense of direction with acceptance and/or humour - but it has seriously impacted my life.  Although I have moved from city to city...
