birrie wrote on 09:25PM at Mar 4th, 2010 I have two eight month-old boy kitties. They stay inside, and generally have a rip-roaring good time the whole day and night. I love their energetic antics, and I don't want them to become calm and docile prematurely. One of them does "spray," but I clean it up quickly, and it really doesn't bother me. Is it so wrong to not want to get them neutered? I keep them up to date on their vet visits. I love my Ruckus Brothers just the way they are.

rosey122 wrote on 09:52PM at Jul 15th, 2010 Please neuter them. You need to do it soon because the spraying will get worse. I didn't neuter my sweet NEMO because I was afraid of him losing his wild personality and scared that something would go wrong with the surgery. Finally, when he was almost two I had it done. He was less physcial the first few days but quickly resumed his crazy ways. My NEMO is no longer here. I just adopted two boy kitties. Bison was fixed at the shelter but Samson was sick and in isolation. He was still available for adopting but he needed to recover before neutering. He is the kitty I adopted in NEMO'S honor and I am scared to bring him back to get it done . But after seeing hundreds of kitties who are going to be put to sleep because of animal overpopulation, I have to do it. Cats are fast and they might get out. Nemo's story is in I BELIEVE IN SYNCHONICITY in religon and spiritualty. I hope your kitties have a wonderful life with you.

koolgooseygramma wrote on 07:24PM at Oct 31st, 2010 I spayed my girl when she was six months old. It did not change her personality one iota. I she is exactly as she has always been. The great part: no unwanted kittens. I think part of the responsibility of good pret ownership is making sure no unwanted kittens are accidentally brought into the world.

rickstauc1 wrote on 07:07PM at Dec 16th, 2010 Hello there. I would strongly reccomend neutering both of your cats. Not only will the spraying & the foul urine smell go away, but it will help prevent against certian types of cancers. Also, it will help with frustration they may feel by not being able to breed with a female. One other benefit would be the less likelihood of contracting FIV & Leukemia. Un-neutered males are more likely to contract FIV & Leukemia due to them wanting to wander outside even if they are vaccinated ( no vaccine is 100% effective). Let me know if you have any questions. Take care :)
