I graduated from Central Washington University

in 1978 with a degree in education. I taught High School for 6 years but I didn't particularly enjoy it. I loved coaching and I coached high school football for 25 years. I thought I would be able to parlay my college degree into another industry and for a while I did. But you...

This is my graduation picture from college,

and this was taken on the first days of 2014. Besides my diploma, this is one of the proofs that I completed five years of studying literature. Yup, in all those years, I was reading poems, fictions, essays, and after that I wrote analyses about them in college. Other than that...

    B.S. is computer science.

Technology moves fast, your tech degree is practically not applicable to the real world, but the concepts you learn in all those computer science classes - invaluable. :)

Nothing, other than a shitload of student loan debt and worthless piece of paper that I can't even be bothered to buy a frame for. Unless you're a doctor or a theoretical physicist, college degrees really don't mean a whole hell of a lot in this society. Sorry...rant over.
