I was knocked down by a car

when I was 11, I'm broke several bones and have been left with a walking problem and other medical issues. I now have to tackle daily life using a different method, but just get on with it as I know that's what I have to do.

I lost the use of my R arm & shoulder in "87"

and 8yrs. Ago i had the hand & forearm amputated. I have never let my arm amputation dictate my ability limits. I am now in my 40's and i can honestly say " I have never not done something that i have wanted to try to do".

Being disabled is not the problem,

it's how you perceive yourself and how people react around you.. Stay strong and always stay positive!!!

I have Spina Bifida and therefore I use a

wheelchair to get around. I am very independent and ambitious and always doing things which is why I say I have a disability but I am not disabled. I don't let the chair stop me from living the life I want to live.

My sister is in a relationship

and I'm not. I always get the "pretty disabled girl" title. Why can't it just be pretty girl? I don't know. It's bothering me lately.

It really annoys me when I see people

who have absolutely nothing wrong with them lying to the doctors and the council saying they have mental disorders and other false made up problems, then they get payed loads of money every month that should be going to people who actually do have problems. It is so wrong, don...
