| Fresh Poster | on 01:55AM at Aug 7th, 2009 I give my dogs "chicken soup for the dog lovers soul", yes, that is an actual dog food.. it is fabulous and I add omega 3 to it, it keeps their hair shiny and they dont shed. |
| Fresh Poster | on 01:06PM at Sep 3rd, 2009 I feed Lil Man Nutro Natural Choice, small breed. Since I began feeding Nutro, Lil Man's coat is silky and awesome, his energy level is 'wow', Nutro doesn't upset his tummy, and his, um, stool, is consistently firm and not 'icky'.
It's a great food for our babies. If you like to cook, you might check out rachael ray's website. She cooks for her dog Isaboo, and from what I can tell, the food is wholesome and healthy. Plus, humans can eat it too! Personally, I plan on trying the meatballs for Lil Man. We'll see how that works out and I'll let you know! |
| Fresh Poster | on 11:07AM at Sep 21st, 2009 I stay away from any dog food that lists ground yellow corn as the first ingredient.. All dog food that is sold by grocery stores do this.
I buy dog food at the local feed store.. They have several varieties like Iams, but there is a cheaper food called Protein 27/4 ? or something like that..It's first ingredient is beef. My dog does great on it and is very healthy.
Ground yellow corn raises a dog's body temperature. In some dogs, especially black ones, it can cause hot spots..breaking out and then hair falls out.. I've never had this problem with any food that didn't list GYC as first..
Hope this helps..Tat

| Fresh Poster | on 11:10AM at Sep 21st, 2009 It would be nice to have a dog that doesn't shed, but dogs have to shed..I think Poodles are one of the few that do not..
But my dog has so much hair that he would suffocate in the summer.
And trimming or shaving isn't an option as this causes their hiar to grow back so thick you can't brush it..

| Fresh Poster | on 09:42AM at Oct 15th, 2009 HELP! My dog has worse gas than my husband!
He is a 8 month old lab/pit and is so wonderful, but he has horrible gas and I'm tired of my house smelling like crap all the time. We feed him Kirkland brand puppy food. I'm looking to switch food. What do you think?
HELP, before I resort to wearing a gas mask 24/7!!! |
| Fresh Poster | on 09:10PM at Nov 2nd, 2009 Old Roy in the 40lb bag is what I put down for my 4 canines, 3 boys and 1 girl
I love this food because it is cheap, but when the Grocery Outlet has Micks in a can we celebrate. Believe it's Pedgree, bet regardless they loovve it. And so to my felines 6 girls and 1 boy. These lovelies also get a bag from WalMart, Special Kitty.
That takes care of the commercial stuff. My beauties also enjoy hot dogs, tomatoes, avocado, ice cream and what ever. This afternoon I opened to share a popsicle nobody wanted a piece. So with my portion I placed each piece into my mouth and gave it to each. This time they devoured the piece of flavored ice.
This is not the first time I used this tactic and won't be the last. Just to see I put down a morsel of avocado for my ladies and their new boyfriend.

| Fresh Poster | on 09:27AM at Nov 21st, 2009 I feed my munchkins Blue Buffalo Chicken & Brown Rice. The first 5 ingredients are:
Deboned Chicken, Chicken Meal, Whole Ground Brown Rice, Whole Ground Barley, Oatmeal.
It's a little on the expensive side but my sheltie has a very sensitive stomach. We're talking liquid stools if I feed him anything with corn or wheat in it. | |
