    It's A Healthy Addiction

Music is the one of the few things in life that keeps me going. There is truly a genre of music for every mood. Whether it be Spanish rock or classical music, I easily develop a sense of closeness to any particular song. As I have mentioned before, rap holds a special place in my...

Hi guys, I'm finding it really frustrating that everyone's reaction, when I talk about my music addiction is: "oh well, i guess you can be doing worse things". And yes, I can be doing worse things. And I have done worse things which I've been sober from (drugs and alcohol) for...

    Music For Moods

I am curious. Question 1. : Do you choose music to match your  current mood or do you select music to alter your mood? If I am feeling melancholic I tend to listen to slow nostalgic music... a wide variety of genres.  If I am happy I listen to a variety of upbeat...

    Always Listening.

I am always listening to something.  I'll be deaf by the time I'm 40.  I can't live without it though.  There is a song for every feeling or situation.

    Far Beyond Addicted...

Well, I listen to music for at least 8 hours a day and I also play guitar, drums and I sing. My dad has played guitar since he was 12 or something so music has been with me since my birth. The reason why I'm starting to consider myself as a music addict is because earlier today...

    Part Of My Essential Being.

I torrent music, I have over 130GB. Around 2 and half months of music with no repeats, just solid tracks. If I made music, and I plan to some day. I'd give the listeners an option to pay for the tracks/donate or just download the music for free anywhere. Surely music is about...

Love It To The Point Of Harm

I love music. I sing whenever I don't concentrate, or when it is inappropriate (i.e. when others are talking to me). I don't mean to, it has just become a reflex and my voice seems to be more bold than my tongue. I will sing songs that remind me of certain situations or emotions...

    Oh Well

Seeing as how i have been addicted to a lot of other things, some of which only served to destroy my life, i would say that being addicted to music is the least of all my evils. And a necessary one at that.

    Always Listening To It.

On the way to school, after classes. To and from practice. In my car, in my room, outside, in the shower. I don't care who's around... I just want my music on. Right now I'm listening to All Time Low. I fall asleep to my Ipod, and listen to it almost all the time. I don't...

    Compiling My Collection ..

.. has taken me most of today. It has been slowly collected and stored in MP3 format since the early days of Napster. Over time it has ended up in four places. I just bought an external hard drive and spent most of today moving it all into one place. My next task is to fill in...

I didnt have to look hard enough to find people interpreting this as a healthy addiction. Until yesterday i thought so too. Why not right---music is beautiful. It makes me feel good. Why would being completely addicted to that be unhealthy? Now i'm not so sure. Firstly I think...
