    One Week Ago!

Just had my pacemaker put in a week ago, I'm 34 years old. Never really felt my slow heart was a problem, but over the years the doc says I've been slowing down more and more, and while sleeping I'm down lower than 20bpm, so they felt it was time. The procedure itself was fine...

    I had bradycardia and AVNRT.

My resting pulse was low 30's, while my tach ran around 205 beats per minute. I'm thankful for my pacemaker. I kinda feel sorry for all those hearts having to do so much work on their own! Ha!

My "widget" (the Nickname I Gave My Defibrillator/pacemaker) Is Doing Its Job !!!

November 30, 2011     I posted a story previously about receiving my ICD (I had surgery 1 in June and surgery 2 a couple of weeks later (they had to run the 3rd lead to the outside, rather than the inside, of my heart chamber because they couldn't find a vein to get to the...

    New Pacemaker

I am a 35 year old mother of three. When I was 17 I had an abletion for AV Nodal Re-entry. In 2008, I was running and my heart rate dropped in half. I met with an electrophysiologist at that point and really it wasn't interfering with my life, so we let things be and I just wore...

OK, to some of you maybe I am old...hell, when I was a kid I used to think that 25 was ancient...but here I am at 30 and on my 3rd pacemaker. A lot of people (maybe less in recent years) think that pacemakers are only used for senior citizens. I'm living proof to the contrary...
