    I Can't Help And I Don't Care.

I know everything I'm going to say now is HORRIBLE but I just can't take it, sorry. I've never complain much about my parents, I was pretending everything is okay. The only reason is, I ******* love them both even that schizo woman who's going to kill me someday for sure. I just...

My mother has it. I've known she has this

disease since I was 8. My grandfather explained it to me and also explained that it was hereditary. My mother slept a lot, I imagine from the side effects of the medications. She also abused amphetamines at times too. I feel like I raised myself and my little brother. My...

    Okay, Not a Parent...

But my grandma.  She was diagnosed as schizophrenic bipolar when I was about two.  A few years ago, though, she decided to stop taking her meds.  It was strange, scary even, to watch someone who was always so loving, so caring, so...Perfect, become the person she...

    Patience Is A Hidden Virtue

My mother has Schizophrenia, and has had it my entire life. When I was younger, I was able to look at the disease as something of a quirk to her personality. It was never something that directly impacted my life in any way. As I have grown older and become more sensitive to...

My Dad Has Schizophrenia, And Now Has A Rare Physical Illness.

He was diagnosed with schizophrenia 10 years ago. Over the years he's been a functional person. Sadly, he was never the same. He has periods where he can be really depressed and just doing nothing. Now, he's facing a really bad period. He feels all his body in pain. This issue...

I Don'T Know If I Can Ever Help Her

My mother has schizophrenia. She will never, ever admit it, no matter what. She won't go to a psychologist or a psychiatrist because that's for "crazy people" as she says. She was diagnosed but she refuses to see it as I imagine is normal for all people suffering from this...

    People just don't understand.

Some times they say "i hate my mom/dad he/she's so annoying" and i get that angry feeling. That feeling were you just want to scream at them and tell them how ungrateful they are. That feeling were you want to grab them by the shoulders and tell them never to say that again...

Am I normal? This question constantly lingers

in my mind. My mom was diagnosed with paranoia schizophrenia when i was a baby and I am now 26 y/o. I was told by my family that my mom got 'abnormal' after her divorce with my dad. No one ever try to explain or understand what's wrong with my mom. My childhood wasn't a happy...

My mom has had this since I was a little girl.

She thinks voices tell her things, would blow up so scary at times. She's scared to go places and just is paranoid about everything. I've tried to get her to understand, that she really does need help for a few years. Today, she finally listened. I love you mom, please know that...
