I Have a Place In My Heart For Broken People

...cries she with silent lips, "give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to be free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore"... 6,185 People

    The Gift To Help Heal

For as long as I can remember broken people have been drawn to me. It use to freak me out when people I didn't know would share their pain with me. I didn't understand because I don't trust people so It always surprised and amazedĀ me how much people always trusted me. After...

Only those that have been truly destroyed

understand the value of life and love. They know how fragile it is and how fast it can be to lose it all. I think they fight to fix what is broken instead of throwing it away. But for some reason I've also met broken people that don't correspond to this image at all.

    Strangely Comforting..

Broken people. I know so many. Maybe thats why my heart is so full? Its taken up by all these damaged souls. I think everybody is broken, in some way or another. I find it comforting, as strange as that may sound, because it makes me realise that we all have a past that we may...

    A Nice Quote I Found...

It's okay to ask for help sometimes. It's okay to admit that you're carrying a burden to heavy to take on alone. We're meant to live life together, and to open our arms in compassions when we see someone stumble. We are meant to be wrapped in someone's arms when we are the ones...

Well, the title should read "I had a place in

my heart for broken people". I just recently broke up with someone after 7 years. We were "madly in love" and even got engaged. Realistically though, I kind of just felt bad for him. I mean, our relationship was never easy. I should start off by saying I had a great family life...

    My Heart.

I have always had a place in my heart for broken people. I empathize with them. I know how it feels to hurt. I can always tell by the look on their face, or the tone of their voice, that something is wrong. So I try to make them smile. I might be the only person that tries to...
