I Have a Scar

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 30,851 People

I think when people talk about scars they go

for the physical scarring. I have a scar, quite a few actually. Internally and externally. Our scars stay with us forever. They don't just leave marks on our skin, but they force themselves to weld with our souls.

    Scars

We all have scars, inside and out. We have freckles from sun exposure, emotional trigger points, broken bones, and broken hearts. However our scars manifest, we need not feel ashamed but beautiful. Alexander Foss Tiny Buddha

Two actually. though one cannot be seen.

The "invisible" scar is not one upon my heart or soul, though those do exist to be sure. No, in deference to the spirit of this group, I speak only of the physical variety. In this case a scar so minute that it cannot be seen by the naked eye. Ironic in that it resides upon...

Scars are reminders of your life- A timeline- A

map. I love reading everyone's stories. Many of our scars come with pain and tears--- but when you get to share them with others, it almost becomes a life lesson for everyone. It's weird how a simple imperfection that could've happened years ago, holds such a strong memory.
