    Bama Born And Raised

People look so very surprised when I speak to them, and I can't tell if it's because of my voice, or my accent. Personally, I just feel like the southern accent is a warm, inviting, friendly tone and the extra emphasis on the vowels just sounds good. ie:North - "Good Morning...

    I Am

I really do have a deep southern accent. I was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. I was also brought up in Baton Roug, Louisianna. Lots of people I talk to ask me huh, and or have no idea what I mean when I'm talking about stuff. Some people just guess or assume what I said...

    What Can I Say

I am a country girl. Texas raised and customized. It gets annoying when people mock me though, so I have learned to disguise it well; but I hate doing that. I absolutely love my accent / drawl!

    Where Did It Come From?

Many people have told me that I have a southern accent. This is very strange since I grew up in Cleveland Ohio and spent my early adult life there. Now I am in New Mexico and have been for years. Maybe because I grew up on the south saide of town.

    What Did He Say?

Yes indeed,'the accent of the south. There is nothing quite lime it. The accent also depends on where you live in the south. Take Louisana, now there is an accent. You mix a little Cajun French in and there have it. I'm not real sure they understand it on occasion. For instance...
