    I Thought I Lost Mine

    I had not seen any of the marbles I had as a kid for many years.  When I left Minnesota and moved to California in the 60's I left my bag of marbles behind.  They were in a drawer, in a bag and I assumed safe forever at my granparents home.  Strange how things...

    Shake , Rattle , And Roll

     ESPECIALLY THE ONES IN MY HEAD. PEOPLE , FROM TIME TO TIME , QUESTION THE VALIDITY OF IT'S CONTENTS....AND ALSO THE QUANTITY. MY FEARS ARE PUT TO REST THOUGH , WHEN I CHECK THE HOLE IN THE CORNER OF THE BAG , AND FIND IT HASN'T GOTTEN VERY MUCH BIGGER..... AND THE FACT...

    They're Very Beautiful.

    I used to love marbles as a child, I would just hold them and stare at them, not play any games with them.  Now, if someone uses them to decorate with, like in a vase, all I can do is stare.  I like blue ones the best.

    Played Them, Lost Them, Collected Them

    Simply stated I think they are beautiful. I would roll them around in my sweaty palms and plan my next strategy.  Pushed down, kicked and beat up for my collection it never detoured me from gathering more from the little boys who had a budding gambling problem. ...

    They Intrigue Me

    The colors, the patterns--they're all unique.  I have a bag full, but they're not as colorful and diverse as I like.  I like playing marbles, too.
