My dad was drunk and he was going to drive

and I think I was going to let him. I hate myself so much but I'm sixteen and I'm afraid of drunk people. My sister and brother helped me convince to stay home. No one ever talk about this **** at my house except for me and my sister.

    Toxic.

I'm 22 years old, and grew up with both parents being alcoholics. My home life from early on was pretty unstable, as my mother became an unstable, hostile, violent drunk whereas my father was the functioning alcoholic- going to work every day and ensuring we were looked after...

I'm 14 years years old. I've read lots of stories on this site and my story seems like a tiny ash along side a bon-fire. I've moved 12 times and 10 different schools, lots of houses. You can imagine what that does to a kid. That's not the start of it all. My Dad is a bi-polar...

My Dad Is So Much More Than An Alcoholic

So this one is hard, but my dad has just returned home from three weeks at rehab. I was asked to send an email to his group counsellor about how his drinking has affected me, and I thought it would spur me to write something here since that's sort of the point of this site. The...
