When do I let someone know

that I have autism? Mine isn't that noticeable but it still affects me a lot so if people forget that do I remind them or just leave it and stay quiet?

When I was a kid I never felt the same

as any of my peers. They were always too loud, too rude, or too confusing for me to want to interact with. Most would bully me for my differences (too quiet, too studious, too weird.) The bullying became slightly violent for a period of time and I dealt with mood swings and...

I always wondered what was wrong with me,

since I was quite young. I wondered why I was so different from all of the other kids my age and why everyone thought I was strange. I guess I know now why I was so different, after I really needed the support.

& I simply refuse to abide by what life expects.

. To live & die lonely, unfulfilled, & empty for merely being who I am. I already violated these expectations once. Though thrust back, the fact I work, speak my mind & am strongly considering moving to Cincinnati for a new start... Should send a message... I am done being...

    my parents didn't tell me

until i was eleven years old, so i found it a big shock. i spent my whole life thinking i was your usual normal-person-without-any-major-challenges/differences (i don't like to say disabilities or conditions because i think of "disabilities" as simply meaning you're just made...

    I think it's awful that I wasn't diagnosed

as having aspergers till my late 40s! I'm glad I finally know what's "wrong" just wish I knew sooner, so I could have been treated for it. Everyone just always thought I was weird and I thought they were the weird ones!

I was diagnosed with slight autism at age 5

and tbh its still very difficult to be able to deal with social interaction. I feel like sometimes like why did I have to be given this gift or curse which ever way you choose to look at it but im not giving up hope cause I still feel like im around for a reason.
