I Have Been Baptized

I've been baptised,Indeed I have,Trouble is,Was done,Before one could opt out,Had no say,No choice in the matter,Still,I wouldn't have changed it!

I got baptized the same time I got confirmed. My parents thought it would be best if I could make the decision on my own rather than to have the baptism forced on me when I'm a child.

I was raised in church as a Southern Baptist.  When I was 14 I decided it was time to turn my life completely over to the Lord.  When I told my parents I wanted to be baptized I remember the pastor would come to the house once...

what exactly is this ritual supposed to do? It certianly did nothing to lead me to the holy spirit, or it to I. It didn't tie me to the church in any way. It didn't help convince me of anything. What was the point? I was baptized...

I was baptized as a newborn into a Catholic Church.  My daughters on the other hand weren't baptized until they asked to be.  

i was baptized by the "full immersion" method at the age of 10, in a swimming pool at a non-denominational christian camp.

Baptized catholic but i refuse to recognize myself  with any religion. Yeah they coulda drowned my in that stinky water.

My family is catholic, so was my sister and cousin. I don't think it does a thing! I am not sure why people do it, they think they are "supposed to" or the church rejects you if you don't do it.

In the Greek Orthodox church, in which I was baptized but do not practice, they strip you naked in front of EVERYONE and dunk ya!  That's how I was baptized!  I was about 5 months old , or so I'm told.
