    My First Carte D'Orange

My First Carte D'Orange--- My first few days in Paris I had no clue how to use a subway. At the innocent age of 20, I had only been on a train a few times in my entire life. While some may consider this fact to be quite laughable and even ridiculous, growing up on the West...

    I Was Expecting

I was expecting it to be a little tacky, I basically booked the flight to get it ticked of the 'must see' list and very much fell in love with the city itself. It is a beautiful city and very much appealed to my sense of history, morbid history and architecture. ...

I Went For Barcelona, But Fell In Love With Paris

I was 16 years old and taking my third year of Spanish when my Spanish teacher told the class that there would be a trip available for those who could afford it. We would be visiting Paris, France for four days and then take an overnight train to Barcelona, Spain for three days...

    We'll Always Have Paris... Hopefully.

It's such a cliche, but Paris truly is one ridiculously beautiful and interesting city. The architecture is incredible. The culture is fascinating. The nightlife is wonderful - particularly a club called Le Cabaret, which is filled with beautiful people and some of the coolest...

    As a Joke First,

It was actually kind of by a joke. Dad was going to have a 45 year old birthday last year and we were once talking when he asked me what I though we should do on his birthday. I had no idea so I simply said innocently: "Go abroad?" "Yeaaahh..." He said...

    Paris Heat

We stayed in Paris for 15 days back in 2001, in an apartment in the Latin Quarter.  Unfortunately, we arrived just in time for two annoying but interesting phenomena:  1) It was in the 90's (90 degrees F.) every day but one, and without fans or air-conditioning it was...

    An Exciting City

Paris really is an exciting city. There's so much to see and do. The architecture is amazing! The city is a work of art in itself. The museums, cafes, shops and streets are a delight. Every time I visit I discover something new. Paris is a must see.

The Grande Arche - a true landmark La Défense

isn't, strictly speaking, part of Paris. This business district - gleaming, modern and one of the great commercial centres of the Western world, is outside the City and has a '92' postcode, as opposed to Paris ' 75'. It's history is chequered. Today it serves an example of how...

I Went A Few Years Ago

It must be the most over rated city in Europe and possibly the world. Did not see the appeal.

Spring Break of 2009. I remember sitting in front of the Notre Dame listening to some guy play his guitar. It was such a wonderful experience just watching all the people pass by and admire such beauty. The far best thing I experienced there was the boat ride by the Eiffle Tower...
