    Many Times

I've visited Washington, DC so many times I feel like a native.  When I was growing up my parents took me there for vacation several times and in the past number of years I've visited there many times on my own.  There is so much to do there - the Smithsonian...

    Would Love To Go Back!

Absolutely loved it! Would go back today if I could. I worked as a waitress in high school and saved up my money so I could go... Pictures in books could never do the real experience justice. We rode in a huge charter bus and went to the Whitehouse, Lincoln Memorial, Washington...

    On the Way to Ny.

I have been through there sooo many times on the way to NY and back.  One time my dad decided to take us into the city to ride around and see the White House and such.  There was sooo much traffic and we later discovered that we should've left out the detour.  I...

I Have Been To Washington D.C. Several Times.

I grew up in the mid-Atlantic region, and when I was a kid, my family would go on a vacation every summer.  One year we went to Washington DC and I got to see a bunch of things - the zoo, some museums, maybe even the White House.  It's been a long time, so I don't...

    Want to Go Again

Been there two times but years ago now. The 70's and the 90's. So much to see. So many beautiful things. The National Archives. The Cherry Blossoms at the Tidal Basin. The Lincoln Memorial. The Smithsonian complex. The Wall. Arlington, across the river. And so many more. The...

    I Love Dc

I went last Saturday!  I took the Metro in.  I love riding the Metro.  It is like a mini United Nations!  People of every race from countries all over the world all peacefully riding together.  Too bad the whole world can't learn from the Metro! ...

I was one of many interns in the Winter of 1997. I lived in Virginia but rode the Blue line everyday, then the Red. I loved DC. It was one of the best times in my life. My favorite place to visit has to be Mount Vernon, though. It's peaceful and beautiful. I get to walk through...

    Becoming My Favorite Vacation Spot

DC has so much to see and do, and most of it is free! I can get there easily on Amtrak, then ride the Metro everywhere once I'm there. I love it.

    2001 Presidential Inauguration

Our ROTC was supposed to march there, but sadly, we couldn't. But we went anyway. & it was nice. I loved the museums, like the space center, the US Mint, the white house, etc.

    Once, About 1.5 Years Ago.

I went to the national mall.  There, I visited the Museum of Natural History, The Smithsonian Castle, and the National Museum of American History.  My favorite part was the huge elephant in the middle of the lobby in the Museum of Natural History.  It was...

    Two Times

I have been to DC twice. The first time was in 2007 when my mom went there for work and the second time was in March of 2012 with my senior class for the class of 2012 trip. The first time was cool but the second time was my favorite because I saw more than on the first trip. I...

    Everyone Should

Everyone should visit our nations capital.  There is a lot of history there of course.  My favorite is the air and space museum.  The monuments are nice.  A lot of history has been made there.  It makes me think of what elected officals should be...

Went for the second time today.

I really love it there. The tons of people are pretty cool, it's a beautiful place, and there's alot of interesting things to see. Especially if your a history freak like me. I was a bit bummed because I wanted to visit JFK's grave again (personal thing) but I still got to see...

    Arlington Field Trip

(I know, it’s not part of Washington D.C, but it should be) Today, I had a field trip to Arlington National Cemetery. It was amazing, all the buildings, the grave's architecture, and sorry if this is disrespectful, but one of the graves was named "McDonald", I found it funny...

    On Holiday

I have been to Washington once, it was the week before Christmas and it was freezing.  I remember seeing so many of the sites in a very limited amount of time and the one that struck me the most was the war memorial beside the Washington Memorial, it was so silent and all...
