Fibromyalgia means 'widespread pain in the muscles', but this syndrome causes many other symptoms. Lab tests seldom validate the condition and the results often make sufferers feel like hypochondriacs. Pressing on tender points can diagnose fibromyalgia, but the exam still does...

and my blood pressure was up a little and my heart rate was up, the doctor asked me if I was nervous, I said yes. But anyway she was concerned about my thyroid because of my fast heart rate. I had labs done to see if my medicine is working for my hormone condition, they also did...

    I have been feeling sick

for years. I get nausea and gas and pain and so on. I just started eating only gluten-free foods. Anyone else tried this? I think it's helping so far. I hope it's an answer to my problems.

I Wish They Could Understand And Yet I Wouldn't Wish Illness On Anyone.

"you can be you or you can be ill" This is what someone said about people with illness. What an awful thing to say. I am a person that suffers from multiple chronic illnesses and rise above them. That is who I am. Every experience, every heartache, every struggle makes you...

    Chronic Illness, Death, And Me

In 1998 I was first diagnosed with Addison's Disease. Health wise things have been a continued struggle and not many hours go by when I don't think about death; most notably when I try to fall asleep. I fear that I won't wake up and even though I struggle with suicidal tendencies...

Diagnosed properly five years ago in New York

by a woman doctor that took the time to research my issues and ordered the correct tests. Came back to my home in Utah and the Flinstone Doctors here who just go by the medical books and have no imagination at all. Five years later I am in the beginning stages of what I call...

    I have chronic pain, fatigue,

migraines, sinus infections, etc. Not to mention I'm allergic to nearly everything. I'm sick of taking 20 pills with each meal. No one believes me except my family and a few close friends. None of my doctors know what's wrong with me. I'm afraid I'm going to have this for...

    I passed out yesterday

and hit my head. It's like I can get a little better to the point where I can stand for a max of two minutes, but then it goes down hill. I just can't do this anymore

    I was teaching at a K-12 school

until I became very ill. I lost all of my strength, I had to sleep 15-20 hours a day, my throat would swell up, and I got daily fevers. Five different doctors told me that my sleepiness was all in my head or that I was only depressed. Finally, I saw a specialist who diagnosed me...

for being ill and when they say they're tired of me being sick (which I hear a lot). It's not something I can control and just snap out of. I have several chronic illnesses. I've had some of them since I was 8. I do my best to function despite the illnesses. I work full time...

I have gastroparesis- When I was diaganosed I

still had food in my stomach 15 hours after eating. Normal stomach emptying time is about 2 hours. I usually wake up every morning feeling like I've over eaten and need to throw up no matter what I had to eat the night before.
