    Fear Of Driving

It took me 21 years to get over the intense fear I had of driving, but I did it! Really, it was a phobia, one that greatly interfered with my life. Despite the fact that I moved to a city where it's easier to use public transportation than own a car, I still missed out on many...

    Learning to Swim

Well i never learned to swim properly during our swimming classes in primary school. I think it was because i spent too much time just goofing around in the water and i had this idea about treading water. I imagined my legs and feet should be close together when i ran them in...

I used to be terrified of needles.

When I was in high school I decided to start donating blood. The first and second time I nearly passed out, but I stuck with it. Now I can just watch them while they take my blood. I'm not afraid of them anymore.

    Black Widows

I'm still scared of any other spider, and don't get me wrong, if I had a widow on me I'd freak, but I over-came the widow fear for the most-part. I was determined to pull out the corners of my mom's basement and garage. I found there were tons of old blk/wht pics from my family...

    My fear was the dark.

This started when my dad told me at a very young age that he claimed to see this old rocking chair moving back and forth by itself in my Grandmas basement. Ever since then, I have been completely scared of the dark and basements. My dad would also joke with me as I got older...

I recently conquered my fear of helium balloons. Well, I still can't stand them popping but I can now be in the same room as them, I even touched one yesterday. These must be signs I'm nearing the end of my tunnel of fear for helium balloons. Finally.

I Conquered My Fear of Living.

I've been depressed for a long time (yes, it's my childhood), and with depression comes the feeling of unworthiness. I've felt I'm not entitled to my life, because I'm not good enough. I've felt I have to earn my right to everything, but never really got there all the way. No...

I used to be so afraid of spiders, just being in the same room as one...oh boy...I'd be screaming like a little girl. A while back, I met some guy who said he had a pet tarantula. Freaked me out that he'd want it as a pet, but to each their own, right? So I asked him if I...

I am proud of myself cause it seems like I'm trying conquering my fears, little by little.  Some I have and some not.  Slowly but surely.  Rome wasn't built in one day!

A Trigger, To Be More Accurate

For reasons I'm not going into here, one of my worst triggers was the church song "Do Lord".  You know the one.  It goes "I've got a home in Glory Land that outshines the sun (repeat a couple times)...Oh do Lord, do Lord, do remember me (repeat 3 times) Awaaaaay beyond the blue...

    The Fear Of Fear

When we fear, the villain of villains guides our lives, it becomes heavier and darker.Things start to not make any sense because everything that we tried to put into balance is watered by the dark mud that when it mixed with our most beautiful dreams and feelings, it makes all...
