I Have Diabetes - Forum & Chat Board | Energy- I coud use some!!

Looking for Energy.. I have Type 2 diabetes and am looking for something that can give me more energy to last throughout the day. Right now at about 3pm I want to fall asleep . Does anyone have any suggestions? I stopped drinking soda and coffee to help battle my weight. Any suggestions?? Please anyone???

The best natural energy boost I can reccomend for you is a tea made from yerba mate...it gives you a little pep and has no come down..crash type effects...if you need sweet like I do add some stevia plant to the brew...it's ten times sweeter than sugar but has no sugar content...and if you like a lemon flavor then add some lemon verbena for taste

Thanks for getting back to me. I appreciate your advice greatly. It is nice to be able to come online and gain perspective from other fellow diabetics. I was speaking with my cousin this weekend and he reccomended a drink that I should try to help get through the day. I tried it yesterday (sunday) and it made me feel great and YAY NO JITTERS!! Usually energy drinks and the like give me the jitters. Well this one is specifically for diabetics which is the first time I have seen that!! I will let you know what I think of this stuff before I publicize the name lol..it says it has no sugar, no caffeine or stimulats and is an all natural Mega B vitamin complex. Stay tuned..lol
