    Somewhat off the beaten path

for this posting, I know, but I figured I'd have to write something since it has been so long. My original post that I was going to write about fell through only due to the fact that I found I didn't want to publicize certain things. Then my second post was going to be about...

    I Had To Stop

I had to stop donating blood as I developed type two diabetes. I had donated 46 pints over time, and I was just four pints from attaining my gold badge. I was gutted.

If only period blood was able to be donated.

We would never need blood drives/donations at schools and stuff again . Unless women can but they are just selfish

Today I had to undergo a health examination

for my university application and they said they have shortage of blood for someone who's having a surgery so I donated blood to him. Though I'm so pale now, but I'm happy I helped someone :)

    I Donate Blood

I donate blood since I was 18. It was one of the first thing I wanted to do as an adult. There's a big need of blood and for the donator it's not a big sacrifice. Just few minute and you contribute to save a life. Few expenses, much performance. ; ) Every man and woman should do...

The first time isn't always fun,

because your body is not used to it. I remember my first time like it was yesterday. My buddy decided to donate blood and asked if I wanted to as well. Why not? I'm not afraid of needles anyway. Alright, so I signed up, we went in and were given sticker name tags. All is well...

    Donating Blood...

In high school, I donated blood. I am a vegetarian, so I was a little nervous that I would be anemic or something. It turned out that my iron levels were great. I remember it was something I really wanted to do, but for some reason I was really nervous to go up to the lady that...

Last time everything turned black. Luckily the bench was right there as it seemed gravity was showing me how strong it is.

I would but I am terrified of needles.

They scare me and I hate being in pain and getting needles really hurt my arm. I remember this one time in school we had to get shots and I had to miss school the next day because my arms hurt so much

I've donated blood 5 times in my life,

and have had 3 unsuccessful attempts (2 due to illness, 1 due to a conflict from a medication I was taking). Only once have I ever had issues, and that was because I went 8 hours without eating before I donated. My 6th donation is scheduled for the day after my birthday.
