Ok so I started noticing an attraction to girly

things when I was younger and so I played with girly toys I got in trouble so bad I was afraid to do or say anything we'll as I got older I tried some girly cloths on and it hit me right then that I didn't just want to dress and act like a girl I was secretly a true girl on the...

So Many Shades of Gray - in a world

that demands black and white. I spent most of the first 30 years of my life totally confused about my gender and sexual preference. I was fortunate to have access to a large medical school library and for over a year I spent many hours there each week researching these issues...

I was born as a male,

but sometimes I am confused about my gender identity. I don't feel comfortable having a sex change, but I just don't imagine myself being a man when I get older.

    For Life

I have had gender issues my entire life. Unlike a lot of people who have gender identity issues I don't seem to relate more to one sex than another. I guess I'm just one of those whose androgynous by nature. I have done the hormone thing with doctors supervision and hours and...

OK, I don't really but I had a post labeled

"inappropriate for children under 18" when it was specifically written for them.... So I get frustrated with the silly censorship. Anyway, it can be posted as a comment, so check my comment below and get back to me with comments or questions.

The short of it is that continuing to identify

and represent as my birth sex while still trying to "be myself" about my interests, emotions, physical mannerisms, and opinions is really hard sometimes--especially where I live. I tell myself that God made me male for a reason and that I should accept that and that others...

    I have gender identity disorder.

I constantly struggle with the fact that my body isn't male. Perhaps it is a mental disorder to feel that way, especially so intensely, given the 40% suicide attempt rate among people like me. I don't know. Recently I've been wondering if I should transition. That's a very...

Sadly It Was A Feeling Of Self-disgust (confused About My Sexuality... Again...)

I'm going through one of those motions again where I feel totally fine with being same-sex attracted. Even admitting to myself that I'm probably only attracted to women which the last year or so has helped me re-discover and reaffirm. I was very comfortable with identifying as...

    I am not physically male,

I should be but I am not. Ever since I was little I knew I was in the wrong body. I don't want to transition, it wouldn't make me any more male than I am now and it wouldn't make my life better. All that stuff is great for people who feel it helps them, go for it and I admire...

    What Now?

When I was growing up, I was always a little different. Nerdy, but not exceptionally. Awkward, but friendly and welcoming. Then I was berated with the ever-exhausting question, "Are you gay?" I've always wanted to yes, because it would make things so much easier. The...

    I can't tell what I am exactly.

I think my gender is somewhat fluid but that being genderless is a big part of it, kind of like a base. Sometimes I feel masculine or feminine though and I would prefer to be masculine. Overall I think I'm pretty much an androgyne however. He/him pronouns please :)

More On This Subject Of Gender Identity

Every transgender girl is different, so I can only talk about me and my experiences. I do so often here at EP and share my stories and thoughts and desires. If you only think that a transsexual woman as being a "she-male" (an offensive term), or a woman with...

There is no sexual identity page.

Maybe anyone here can recognize my confusion and help? I am a 19 year old girl. I have only ever liked guys, but have recently been thinking that i am asexual(dont feel like having sex, and almost impossible to turn me on), but recently i have had a couple of dreams of being...

    Is This Me?

When I was a kid I would always pretend to be a boy--whether it be while playing a pretend game or in real life. Several times I insisted that I was actually a boy but my parents changed my gender because they wanted a girl, that I would become a boy, and when my friends made up...

I always used to pretend to be male.

Now I'm old enough, wise enough, independent enough to make my own decision. And I'm scared shitless. So many "what ifs" are banging down the door in my brain. My dad says he feels uncomfortable with my shoes. He says they are too "transvestite". I hate that word now. I hate all...

    Ever since I was 14/15,

I've always felt like I am not supposed to be male. I feel almost as if my body and mind are out of sync, like my mind is closer to female than male, but my body says otherwise. Unfortunately, I can't do anything about that yet because, in my opinion, current medical procedures...

    Cross-dresser Forever?

    To Be Sure!

Gender identity is defined as the inner sense of being a man or woman, regardless of biological sex. It has nothing to do with and is not the same as sexual orientation. Been this way since childhood and it never changes. I am a female, a woman, regardless of what my outside...

To Wear Another Side Of Me For A Day

I feel like a born-male who feels trapped in a female body, yet I am a female and always have been. Suppose I'm pretty lucky then! But I think these mixed feelings have been the result of me being lucky enough not to have been too influenced by the social-norms of female and male...

    How It All Started

I guess it all started back in the days when I use to play with my sister. She use to con me into doing her more girlish things and even playing games where I had to pretend I was a girl. I must have been 7 or 8 then and she's only less than a year behind me... by the time I was...
