    Twice. All natural water births.

One in the birth center and one at home. Both labors were relatively short, the first was the longest at 5.5hrs of active labor. It was very intense and difficult and yes, even painful but it was also beautiful, powering, and everything I had wanted. The second was very easy...

i went into labor on the 9th of october last

year. I was at home, with my girlfriend, (also pregnant) watching tv. I got up to go make dinner, when I felt a jabbing sensation in my belly. It was much stronger than the braxton hicks i'd been feeling for a few days, so I leaned against the counter, breathing hard. My...

    My Three Sons

MY FIRST My first birth was 9 years ago. I was 18. I had him with a Midwife, in a "Birthing Center." It was quite a traumatic experience, because I was young and didn't know what to expect, and because the environment I gave birth in was uncomfortable. I didn't know I was in...

    And I Will Never Again.

I had my son in 2006.  It was actually a really easy labor.  I was taking a nap at 10:30 pm and went to the bathroom and was bleeding.  I went to the hospital and they checked me and told me I probably wouldn't have the baby that night and would be sent home. ...

And It Was Definitely An Experience

Wow, I don't think anyone or anything can prepare you for what giving birth is really like. I read and heard so many stories throughout my pregnancy, I visualized the entire thing, and I was still surprised. Here is my story: At 39 weeks and 3 days pregnant I fell asleep telling...

    I Won't Do It Again

if I want another child some day I'll adopt.  I thought I was going to die when I had my son.  The epidural didn't relieve the pain, I should have done the whole thing naturally and it would have gone a lot quicker.  I was in labor for 24 hours and developed a...
