    Twice. All natural water births.

And It Was Definitely An Experience

Wow, I don't think anyone or anything can prepare you for what giving birth is really like. I read and heard so many stories throughout my pregnancy, I visualized the entire thing, and I was still surprised. Here is my story: At 39 weeks and 3 days pregnant I fell asleep telling...

I had my first child, a son, in 2009. I was ordered on bed rest for the weekend after HBP numbers at my doctors' office. I was scheduled to come back in on Monday and assess the situation. I was just a day over 37 weeks. On Sunday, my contractions started, and we headed to the...

    My Three Sons

MY FIRST My first birth was 9 years ago. I was 18. I had him with a Midwife, in a "Birthing Center." It was quite a traumatic experience, because I was young and didn't know what to expect, and because the environment I gave birth in was uncomfortable. I didn't know I was in...

    First Minute As a Mommy

I was 20 years old, and had been pregnant for 8 and a half months. I had learned the reality of morning sickness; in fact, it was the morning sickness that brought me to the doctor. I had thought I was dealing with the flu. The doctor had me do a urine sample...

    And I Will Never Again.

I had my son in 2006.  It was actually a really easy labor.  I was taking a nap at 10:30 pm and went to the bathroom and was bleeding.  I went to the hospital and they checked me and told me I probably wouldn't have the baby that night and would be sent home. ...

    I Won't Do It Again

if I want another child some day I'll adopt.  I thought I was going to die when I had my son.  The epidural didn't relieve the pain, I should have done the whole thing naturally and it would have gone a lot quicker.  I was in labor for 24 hours and developed a...
