Tonight I got off work early at 9 PM

and called my mom to pick me up. She didn't answer after calling 3 times, and I couldn't call my stepdad because he's away on a trip, so I just decided to walk home. I didn't really mind because it's really nice outside tonight and I only live about 15 minutes away from my work...

    My friend had one today.

We were in class and everything was going fine, we were working on a little project together while laughing and everything. About 15 minutes later when class ended, she started to get very shaky and asked me to take her to the nurse (she won't care). I was confused because she...

    Subway Panic

During a particularly stressful point in my life, I remember that taking the subway became a battle.  I used to take the A train in New York from Dominican Harlem to classes I was taking downtown.  From 125th to 59th street, the A train travels for about 10 minutes...

just a little tip for getting through a rough

panic attack no matter where you are. stare at something specific just long enough to do this...breathe in slowly from your nose for 4 seconds, and out through your mouth for 4 seconds. do it 3 or 4 times. you are purposely slowing down your breathing and slowing down your heart...

    Just Breathe And Redirect

To date, I have only had 3 real panic attacks/breakdowns. The last one came yesterday. Panic is a response either to fear of an unknown stimulus or fear of a known stimulus. You may suffer a panic attack at facing a new teacher when you were particular cozy with another one or...

My mother in-law used to suffer panic attacks

all the time. One day, she got angry. I mean VERY angry at her son. He had been making her life hell. Things had been eating at her for years and she had been bottling them up inside. She started yelling at him, and after a few minutes, it was like the flood gates were thrown...

Here where I live, the average height

for girls is 5'6 and of course guys are even taller... So when I stand in a huge crowd all tiny and barely over 5 feet, I start losing it and feeling weird. I especially hate when I can't move anywhere... Being stuck in a crowd of people taller than you is the worst!

    I remember the first one.

I was young and working in a shop. Woke up one morning and didn't want to leave the safety of my bedroom. All day at work I kept thinking about getting back to my room. One night a girl phoned me to ask if I wanted to go to a nightclub. My stomach did a double flip and my...

I don't get them often, and haven't actually had that many. I didn't even see that they were panic attacks until my recent one. I was a dancer. In the eighth grade, however, dance was just too much. I was on a team where I felt extremely insecure all the time. My depression...
