Hearing Loss In My Left Ear

I recently found out that I have a hearing loss in my left ear. I never knew. I have to say that it explains why I never use my left ear to talk on the phone. I also used to hate trying to talk in clubs cause my most common reply was 'what"?

Newly diagnosed about two years ago.

Once I found out my life made so much sense. It's crazy the extra moods and anxiety that come along with having hearing loss. All my life I just couldn't stand how people can be so rude to people who can't hear them (whether they have hearing loss or not). Just like if I'm...

    It's My Fault, Actually

It happened when I was practicing piano. I'm pretty critical of myself when it comes to piano. I'm a perfectionist as well, so I get frustrated quickly when playing. I was already frustrated when a fly came around and started flying in my left ear. After a minute I was totally...

    I'm 25..

I was first diagnosed with Otosclerosis several years ago. After doing some research of my own, I found out that it must have been passed down from my dad. I've pretty much just ignored it all until recently. That's when it became very noticeable. I always had the tv volume up, I...

I'm in my twenties and I have had hearing loss

since birth. I'm not sure if it's genetic but my mum told me that a doctor commented that I have a structure deformity. I tried asking other doctors throughout the years but I still don't get an answer because they either can't be bothered to tell me or haven't received...

    Ear Infections

After having an Academic Diagnostic Evaluation done, I have to have my hearing tested. What they think happened is that I had so many ear infections as a kid that it damaged my hearing, and there are some tones I can't hear anymore. Whatever that means. I have noticed it. I...
