I Have Issues With People Who Are Excessive Talkers

Do you know someone to talks all the time? 101 People

Did You Even Notice I Died While You Were Talking...?

My hub is the world's worst offender.  Even before he got Alzheimer's.   He will just go into an excessive monologue on something he considers himself an expert on, even though no one  (possibly in the whole universe) has any interest in this.  Before he...

    I'm A Recovering Chatterbox

I use the word recovering very lightly. I'm just an enlightened chatterbox. I know I go on, I try and stop and sometimes I succeed. Most of us find out we're horrible bores by meeting another bore. A little light goes off and you ask yourself "Am I as bad as that?"... You walk...

    Walky Talky

We all know the "type".  They have somehow lost that ability to pick up on cues of when it is time to listen.  Communication is a tricky thing and it relies on essential rules in order to go effectively.  My defnition of effectiveness includes both people...

    Stop. Take A Breath.

I don't mind being more of a listener rather than a talker, but what irks me is when someone in a group tries to monopolize the entire discussion. If you are supposed to be a team, it's wise to allow everyone to speak. Also, I hate when I have a chatty co-worker who stands...

    Dear God!

I am an excessive talker! I talk and talk, but I have the decency of shutting up when I feel that the other party doesn't want to participate! I hope I don't offend people!

    The Scream Of A Stuka

I actually avoid conversation with people. I hate getting pinned by a person who seems to get their highs on talking at another. Once a message is conveyed to me, ive got it and i just want to carry on with what i was doing, even if it was nothing.

    Drives Me Crazy...

I have an elderly mother who is toxic, she never stops complaining and excessivley talking to me in person but what is worse is on the phone...  She complains that she has no support (help in doing things) (i live next door) and no matter what you do, or how much you listen it's...

    Deliver Me From The Monologue!

There is a woman with whom I'm living at present (nope, no choice for right now), and no matter how much I ignore her, she will not shut up.  She gossips, whines, and talks incessantly about anything and everything.  Forget the two-way conversation - I tried that early on, and...

    Just Be Quiet Sometimes

I love conversations.  It's ok if you talk to me.  It's ok if you have something to say that you think I should know or be interested in.  I'm fine with listening and talking to you....BUT...Do you have to talk all the time?!??! I mean, talk talk talk for 2-3...

I Run Into This A Loooot.

Mostly on dates. I don't know what it is but the more someone talks the less I feel I even have to add to the conversation. If I can even get a word in edgewise, that is. Then of course I do get a chance to say something, and the only response is a "yeah.... well blka;jlkbajlkjaj...

I've gotta monotonic way of speaking.

I don't feel the need to elaborate on queue. I can be self involved but its to a small degree. I am not a sponge, I am more like a rock. I will not apologize for my reserved mannerism. I just simply wish to be left alone.
