    A New Twist

I am battling my 5th kidney stone, but this one is not like the others.  Except for my first one, I've either been able to pass them on my own, or as soon as they hook me up to an IV in the ER, the stone flushes out.  But, not this time.  This time's been...

Last night I passed a kidney stone.

Actually passing it isn't nearly as painful as when it is moving from the kidney to the bladder. Still, at roughly 5mm, or just under a 1/4 inch, it didn't feel great.

and my kidneys cleaned out while they were at it. They returned a week and a half ago. No pain for a couple days, but did have a CT scan this morning to see what's there. I should hear the results early next week.
