I lost my husband December 2013 to brain cancer.

For the most part, I have been able to move on and go on with life. Sometimes his death really comes back and smacks me in the face. My husband was in a wheelchair. After his radiation treatments, Cody (the dog in the pic) and him would curly up together and take a nap. I...

I have seen a few friends

and family die from Cancer, and again I am seeing someone fight the battle. she beat it once before but this time around it looks like cancer is winning this fight. She's a fighter and we wish for a miracle but know to make whatever time we have left with her the best memories.

When puberty struck, life was mysterious.

I didn't know who I was really, but at age 15 I made an amazing friend, Riley. Something was different with her, we had the most fluid of conversations and we never argued once. we would instantly drop any tedious disagreement in playful debate and it was amazing how much...

I have a terrible confession to make.

I had an acquaintance. And while she was alive all I did was judge her. I judged her because her circumstances triggered my childhood issues. She lived in this HIGE old mansion type house. The kitchen floor tile was yellow like someone had poured pee over it. She had a...

cancer. He was 18 years old. I can't stop thinking that it should be ME, not him. He was such an amazing guy, he could have achieved great things, make our parents proud, be a good father and husband one day. Why was it him that got sick, not me? I'm just a boring, lazy, shy...
