Hoarding Vs Clutter Phobia, Which One Is Really Ocd?

Why is the media so fixated on OCD being about hoarding, when hoarding is the opposite of everything that OCD stands for? People with OCD tend to be organized, neat freaks and clean. Hoarders on the other hand are disorganized, messy and a general health and safety hazard. They...

How To Tell Someone You Have Ocd, Without Embarrassing Yourself

I Get So Frustrated With It.

I remember the earliest signs beginning when I was 7.  I would get these strange thoughts, like, Don't step on the brown floor tiles or your mom will be in a bad mood when you get home.  Most of my obsessions and compulsions back then revolved around my home life...

    Updated- I was examined

and asked questions to determine the severity of my OCD and the psychiatrist has put me in the range of severe OCD. Kinda makes sense. My OCD has not been around from day 1 but it goes on for a few years and 'tests' until it is triggered again. My last serious battle was about 7...
